The Kano State Watershed, Erosion and Climate Change Management Agency (KN-WECCMA) is a specialized agency under the Kano State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. It emerged as a direct successor to the World Bank–supported Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), which formally concluded in 2022. The Agency was established to sustain and build upon the gains and investments achieved through NEWMAP.

Created by an Act of the Kano State House of Assembly in 2022, KN-WECCMA commenced full operations in 2023. Its mandate covers the implementation and execution of government policies, projects and programmes related to watershed management, erosion control and climate change adaptation and mitigation across the state.
