Afforestation Baseline & Land-Restoration via the Kano Afforestation Project (KNAP)

Project Name: KNAP – Baseline Survey & Restoration (200 hectares)
Summary: As part of KNAP, WECCMA (or via the state environmental framework) completed baseline surveys for 200 hectares of degraded land using drone/satellite imagery as part of restoration efforts.
Significance: This project shows the shift from just erosion control, to afforestation and land restoration, which has wider ecosystem benefits (carbon sequestration, soil stabilisation, community green cover).
